Temporary Works Coordination - TWCTC, TWSTC & TWGATC
CTS has been providing relevant and up to date training in this subject for many years using the expertise of both Ray Filip & Anita Ballard who are recognised as experts in this field. This training has been structured to meet the requirements of the BS5975 guidelines endorsed by the Health & Safety Executive. These state that the Designated Individual (DI) of the Principal Contractor, or Main Contractor, is responsible for appointing the TWC and the DI has a duty to ensure that the TWC is competent, up to date and understands their own company’s procedures, and has the skills necessary relative to the complexity and type of work envisaged.
We recognise that there are many other people in the construction industry requiring temporary works training; temporary works supervisors, TW designers, senior managers, trades based supervisors, groundworkers specialist contractors, demolition contractors, small builders, and, of course, existing TWC’s wishing to get up-to-date technical information.
The construction industry, with approval of the Temporary Works Forum (TWf) launched through CITB Construction Skills, a TWO DAY course for Temporary Works Coordinators and the ONE DAY courses Temporary Works Supervisor and Temporary Works General Awareness . These courses conclude with an examination (£37.50 fee) and successful delegates are issued with a formal CSkills certificate.
